General questions

Basic questions about Lubao, Payroc, and how the site is intended to help merchants make a better processing decision.

Lubao helps businesses compare payment-processing programs, estimate savings, choose equipment and tools, and get set up through Payroc's payment platform. Think of Lubao as the merchant-facing guidance layer: we help you understand the options and build the setup that fits your business.

Payroc is the payment platform behind the merchant-processing solutions Lubao offers. Payroc provides the processing infrastructure, technology, pricing programs, equipment options, and support resources that power the merchant account.

Lubao LLC is independently owned and operated, and works as a sales organization/representative offering merchant services through Payroc's platform. Lubao helps merchants understand available options, compare programs, and move toward the appropriate application and setup path.

Lubao can help many businesses that accept card payments, including retail stores, field-service businesses, professional services, nonprofits, personal-care businesses, restaurants, service businesses, mobile merchants, and businesses that need online invoices, payment links, recurring billing, or terminals.

Some industries have special underwriting requirements or may not qualify. If your business is more complex, we can review it before you spend time completing a full application.

Funding & deposits

Questions about how quickly merchants can receive funds after processing transactions.

Yes. Next-day funding is available. In many cases, eligible merchants may also have access to same-day funding options depending on the Payroc solution, pricing program, settlement setup, underwriting approval, and bank timing.

Funding speed can depend on the merchant account, batch time, payment type, bank, risk review, and program eligibility. We will clarify the expected funding timeline during setup.

Not always. Funding can vary by payment type, card type, transaction timing, risk review, ACH timing, batch settings, and the specific solution being used. Card payments and ACH payments do not always settle on the same schedule.

Yes. One of Lubao's core roles is helping merchants understand processing statements, funding, fees, and deposits. If something is unclear, we can help you interpret what you are seeing and connect you with the right Payroc support resources when needed.

Pricing programs

The three main pricing paths: absorb processing costs, share them, or reduce most of them through dual pricing.

Lubao primarily helps merchants compare three pricing paths:

  • Interchange+ — traditional merchant-paid pricing.
  • RewardPay Choice — a compliant credit-card surcharge program designed to reduce merchant cost.
  • ConsumerChoice — a dual-pricing program designed to reduce most or all card-acceptance cost by presenting card and cash/ACH pricing options.

View the pricing programs or compare them in the calculator.

Interchange+ is traditional pricing where the merchant pays the card-network interchange and assessments plus an agreed markup, authorization fee, or transaction fee. It is typically more transparent than flat-rate or tiered pricing because the underlying interchange cost is separated from the processor markup.

Lubao is focusing on Interchange+ for traditional merchant-paid pricing. We are not positioning tiered pricing as a core Lubao program.

RewardPay Choice is Payroc's compliant credit-card surcharge program. It detects whether a card is credit, debit, or prepaid. Eligible credit-card transactions may include a surcharge, while debit and prepaid cards are not surcharged.

RewardPay Choice is generally a fit for merchants who want to reduce processing cost, but do not want a full dual-pricing model. The current Lubao program fee for RewardPay Choice is $39.99/month.

ConsumerChoice is Payroc's dual-pricing program. It presents customers with pricing options, usually a card price and a discounted cash or ACH price. The goal is to give customers a clear payment choice while helping the merchant reduce the cost of accepting cards.

The current Lubao program fee for ConsumerChoice is $39.99/month.

ConsumerChoice generally creates the largest processing-cost reduction because it is designed around dual pricing. RewardPay Choice can also create significant savings by passing eligible credit-card surcharge costs to the cardholder. Interchange+ is usually best for merchants who want to absorb the fees themselves while keeping pricing transparent.

The best fit depends on your business type, state, customer experience, debit mix, transaction volume, average ticket, and how you want to present pricing to customers.

Card pricing vs cash pricing

The practical difference between posting card prices, posting cash prices, and showing customers a clear choice.

In simple terms:

  • Card pricing means the posted price is the card price. Customers who pay by cash or ACH receive a lower discounted price because those payment methods do not include the same card-acceptance cost.
  • Cash pricing means the posted price is the cash price. Customers who pay by card see the cost of card acceptance added to the transaction.

Both approaches are meant to make the payment choice clear to the customer. Which presentation is best depends on the business, signage, customer expectations, state rules, and how the merchant wants to display pricing.

For card-present transactions, the terminal can display both a card price and a discounted cash price. For card-not-present transactions, customers can be presented with a card price and a discounted ACH price. The point is to disclose the available payment options before the customer completes payment.

ConsumerChoice is a dual-pricing model, not a credit-card surcharge model. The Payroc materials explain that card pricing can apply across card types, including credit and debit, while the customer also has a discounted cash or ACH option. This is different from RewardPay Choice, where debit and prepaid cards are not surcharged.

Availability and rules can vary. The Payroc ConsumerChoice materials note state limitations, and we will verify current availability and compliance requirements before recommending the program for a specific merchant.

Square, Stripe & Clover

How Lubao's Payroc-powered options compare against common self-service processors.

Yes, especially for merchants who process enough card volume that flat-rate pricing becomes expensive. Square and Stripe are strong self-service platforms, but Lubao can help you compare whether Interchange+, RewardPay Choice, or ConsumerChoice would create a lower-cost setup for your transaction mix.

The best way to compare is to use the savings calculator or upload a recent statement for a more exact review.

Not in every case. Some very small or brand-new businesses may value the simplicity of self-service flat-rate processing. Lubao is strongest when a merchant wants more pricing choice, better cost visibility, equipment guidance, dual-pricing or surcharge options, statement analysis, and a real point of contact.

Yes. A processing statement lets us calculate your effective rate, identify monthly fees, review per-transaction costs, compare your current processor against Lubao/Payroc options, and recommend the setup that makes the most sense.

Equipment & products

Questions about terminals, mobile payments, unattended payments, invoicing, recurring billing, POS systems, and vertical-specific tools.

Lubao can help merchants choose from Payroc-compatible terminals, mobile devices, gateways, and POS options. This includes Roc Terminal+ devices, Payroc Mobile, Ingenico, PAX, Clover, Bodega AI, Counterpoint, and related solutions depending on your business workflow.

Yes. Lubao can help merchants evaluate Payroc-powered unattended payment options for kiosks, vending machines, laundromats, parking stations, car washes, EV charging, ticketing, micromarkets, and other self-service environments.

These setups usually require more review than a standard countertop terminal because device fit, mounting style, indoor or outdoor placement, connectivity, software integration, reporting, security, and pricing-program compatibility all matter.

View the unattended payments guide.

Yes. Depending on the selected solution, merchants can send invoices by email or text, use payment links, accept deposits, set up recurring payments, and use virtual terminal tools. Roc Services, Payroc Gateway, FluidPay, and related tools may be recommended depending on your use case.

Yes. Recurring payments and subscriptions are available through several Payroc-powered tools. This is often useful for memberships, service plans, nonprofit giving, retainers, monthly billing, and other repeat-payment workflows.

Yes. Roc Giving is designed for nonprofits, churches, charities, and fundraising campaigns. It can support donation pages, campaign management, donor tracking, payment links, QR codes, recurring gifts, and campaign analytics.

Sometimes. Some equipment can be reprogrammed or supported, while other systems are locked to a processor or platform. We can review what you currently use and tell you whether it makes sense to keep it, replace it, or use a different Payroc-compatible setup.

Onboarding

What happens after a merchant decides to move forward.

Typical merchant onboarding requires business information, ownership information, banking information, processing estimates, and sometimes supporting documents. Common documents may include a voided check or bank letter, proof of business, business license, utility bill, lease, secretary of state filing, articles of incorporation, SS-4, or tax documentation depending on the situation.

If you are ready to begin, you can start the merchant application here.

Many merchants can move through setup in a few business days, but timing depends on underwriting, equipment, integrations, risk review, document completeness, and the complexity of the setup. We try to reduce back-and-forth by helping you identify what is needed upfront.

No. That is one of the main reasons Lubao exists. You can start with the calculator, view the programs, or build a setup based on how your business accepts payments. We can help you narrow the options before you complete the deeper merchant application.

Support & compliance

Support expectations, compliance basics, and how Lubao helps after setup.

Lubao helps merchants with account questions, statement questions, equipment questions, setup questions, and support routing. For platform, technical, underwriting, funding, or account-servicing issues that must be handled by Payroc or the processor, Lubao helps connect the merchant with the appropriate support resources.

RewardPay Choice is designed as a compliant surcharge program. Payroc's materials state that surcharges apply only to credit cards, not debit or prepaid cards; the surcharge must be itemized on the final receipt; signage must be displayed before checkout; and customers must have the option to opt out or pay by another method.

Surcharge availability and rules vary by state and card-brand requirements. We will review current requirements before recommending or boarding a merchant on RewardPay Choice.

Yes. Merchants generally have PCI compliance responsibilities when accepting card payments. The exact requirements depend on how you accept payments, your setup, and your processing environment. We can help you understand the basic process and point you to the appropriate compliance resources.

You can get started, use the calculator, request a statement review, or begin with Build My Setup. For current merchants, Lubao can help with statement questions, setup questions, equipment questions, and routing support issues.

Information on this page is provided for general merchant-services education and sales guidance. Final pricing, program availability, equipment availability, funding timelines, underwriting approval, compliance requirements, and account terms are determined by the applicable Payroc, processor, bank, card-brand, service-provider, and regulatory requirements.
